DAY 29 – 33 CIRCUMNAVIGATING THE GLOBE 2017

CHILE, WHERE THE IMPOSSIBLE IS POSSIBLE

June 27 – July 1, 2017

From La Paz Bolivia, I flew with LATAM Airline bound to Santiago, Chile. To explore the vibrant street of the Santiago city and the mysterious Easter Island.

On my second day in Santiago Chile, I bought a ticket for the Big Bus City tour, a hop-on hop-off bus.

Then on the third day, I flew to Easter Island, for 3 days. I joined a tour to explore the whole island in one day, but since it was off season, I was the only guest in that tour.

Maulan, mainit, mahangin, parang nasa probinsya lang namin sa Quezon, (lol) mahal ang presyuhan ng pagkain.

"The Easter Island mystery is mainly due to its isolation. This made the Rapa Nui culture and history have not been completely unraveled and made the Easter Island myths and legends very relevant. They been transmitted orally by the natives and collected by ancient visitants."

Here are some of my photos at the Island.

AROUND THE WORLD 2017

CIRCUMNAVIGATION

May 30 to July 29, 2017

I watched the video of the New 7 Wonders of the World awarding ceremony held at Lisbon Portugal on July 7, 2007 (07-07-07). From that time, I dreamed of going to those places. Paano? – (ito ang tanong ko sa sarili ko). Subalit nangyari.

I started traveling on Oct. 2007 and on my 10th year (2017) I planned to complete all the 7 wonders. At that time, I still have 2 unvisited wonders. Aside from that I want also to prove (in my own way) what Christopher Columbus said, that “the earth is round”.

And I did it in 60 days.

TRAVEL MAP IN 60 DAYS

This itinerary was more than 38,000 miles, consists of 27 flights, 8 visas (excluding free visa countries), more than 25 cities visited in 15 countries plus 3 countries lay-over,  4 continents, 60 days, and 1 passport.
