CIRCUMNAVIGATION 2017: VISA

MY AROUND THE WORLD VISA

Year 2017

For this trip I need to apply 9 visas before departure. Since I already have the US and Canada Visa, I only applied for 7.

COUNTRIES NEED VISA:

1.    USA – I applied on January 2016, approved multiple entry visa for 10 years.

2.    CANADA – applied also in 2016, approved multiple entry visa with validity up to the expiry of my Passport (Feb 2021)

3.    CUBA – I went to Cuban Embassy in Washington DC to apply Cuban Tourist Visa, but the staff told me to go to the agency at the back to purchase Cuban Tourist Card (CTC). I paid 30USD for the CTC but unfortunately, rejected by JETBLUE AIRWAYS, they told me that I need a visa not a tourist card. “blah.. blah… blah…” until I presented the email, I received from them, that I was allowed to use the CTC. Finally, they offered me flights during that day as replacement, (Colombia, Haiti or Puerto Rico) I chose Puerto Rico.

UPDATING MY TRAVEL eDIARY 6: TOURIST VISA TO EUROPE FOR FILIPINO

BEFORE EUROPE

Before I share my story in Europe, I will share first what was happened when I applied my tourist visas. By the way for this trip, I was with Doc Anton and Ian (again).

For this trip I have had the following visas.

United Kingdom (UK Visa) – log in to VFS Global to file, pay and set an appointment for biometrics.

This visa is valid in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Schengen Visa – filed at the embassy of country with the most number of days to stay, in our case we filed an application at VIA-Italy (walk-in) but VIA’s policy is to get an appointment at their website or sms >>> VIA

It was stressful to wait, especially when all the airfare, accommodation and some tour are already paid. Two days before flying, our passport arrived with a Schengen Visa in it, issued by the Italian Embassy.

Multiple Entry Visa - I used in 13 Schengen Countries

Immigration Visa Stamps

Since I am a visa collector, I am happy with the entry-exit immigration stamp of Schengen countries.

  1. Entry to Paris, France from Scotland, UK.

  2. Exit from Barcelona, Spain going to Marrakech, Morocco

  3. Entry to Rome Italy from Marrakech

  4. Exit from Athens, Greece going to Istanbul, Turkey

Turkish Visa – apply online at Turkey eVisa, yes, Philippine Passport holders are allowed to apply eVisa as long as we have unexpired UK Visa, Schengen, Canada and/or US Visa. Be sure that you have your personal email address ready.

Watch this video for more details.

UAE Visa – applied online at Emirate Airline website, I used to fly with this airline from Istanbul Turkey to Dubai and Dubai to Manila. So the airline sponsored and applied my visa.

My second UAE Visa

UAE and TURKEY Immigration Stamp

Morrocan Visa  - not required to Philippine passport holder.

Morocco Immigration Stamp

Thank you for dropping by.

UPDATING MY TRAVEL eDIARY 3: ONCE IS ENOUGH

AUTUMN 2014

November of 2014, Again with my favorite travel buddies (lol) Doc Anton and Ian (minus Nik at this time), We visited Nepal, BACK ON TOP OF THE WORLD ( parang kanta lang ng The Carpenters ah... lol).

Visiting Nepal was really "lifetime experiences" ooopps! It's their Slogan of Visit Nepal 2020  launched before the pandemic.

NEPAL TOURIST VISA FOR FILIPINO

Philippine Passport holders can get Visa on Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport. Just bring 1 passport size photo and 25USD for visa fee. Application form is available at the airport (before immigration counters).

MY NEPALESE VISA

But before flying to Kathmandu, we had a 24-hour layover in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia to meet this not so young lady named, Riz a.k.a Lamyerda. Hindi ko na matandaan kung nang libre siya dito sa Bukit Bintang o ako ang nagbayad. (lol)

If you are planning to go to Nepal with your friends, 2 to 4 pax, you can hire a car with driver to explore the City of Kathmandu, it's cheap and you can move easily without stress.

Here are my 3 favorite things/activities that I enjoyed so much in NEPAL.

1. FOODS AND BEER

2. MOUNT EVEREST FLIGHT TOUR - a 45 minutes flight above the Himalayas, na kung titingnan mo sa ibaba ay parang may buhay ang mga bundok na ito. Flight Tour is about 100USD (year 2014).

3. and last, PARAHAWKING - It is paragliding activity in Pokhara Nepal but I was flying with one of their trained bird of Prey. Hindi ko na matandaan kung American Vulture o Egyptian Vulture ba ito.
Parahawking is about 200USD (back in 2014)

EXPLORING KATHAMNDU, NAGARKOT AND POKHARA

And of course hindi ko ito makakalimutan.

UPNEXT: 60 DAYS IN EUROPE
