THE PACIFIC 2016 Part 2: ALL WITHIN YOUR REACH 4

SAY WA!

Nov. 23, 2016

Washington (not the DC but the WA) was my 4th state visited, only a day in Seattle. The largest city in Washington State.

Seattle is also known for its prominent coffee culture and countless coffee stores. One of these is the Starbucks. I visited its first store located at 1912 Pike PI in Pike Place Market Seattle. After visiting this store and the Place Market (in front), I proceed to the city’s prime attractions.

GET IN:

My flight from FAIRBANKS have a 7 hours lay-over in Seattle so, from the Airport I decided to take the train going to the city center.

GET AROUND:

Of course by public transit, but from the train station, I enjoyed walking around the city.

THE PACIFIC 2016 Part 2: KEEP EXPLORING

GASTOWN

Nov. 13 to 17, 2016

Gastown was the first name of Vancouver. Presently, it is a national historic site and neighborhood of downtown Vancouver.

GASTOWN STEAM CLOCK

GET IN:

PHILIPPINE AIRLINES fly direct between Manila and Vancouver. I bought my ticket online at 646.30usd (RT). I can’t remember if it’s a promo fare or not.

From Vancouver Airport, I took the sky train bound to downtown Vancouver.

GET AROUND:

By public transit – sky train, taxi, buses, or even by boat. But since Vancouver is a walkable city, I always walked from/to my hotel.

AT STANLEY PARK

Even when I visited the Stanley Park, I walked. But when I explored the Capilano Suspension Bridge National Park, I availed their free shuttle from Canada Place area because it’s a bit far from downtown.
